Recent heeft de Europese Commissie (EuropeAid) een onderzoek gelanceerd over ontwikkelingseducatie in Europa. De twee belangrijkste objectieven zijn:
1) Een overzicht krijgen van de hoofdactoren in het veld van ontwikkelingseducatie binnen Europa en weten wat hun expertises zijn en welke activiteiten ze organiseren
2) Aanbevelingen formuleren voor een verbetering van de toekomstige steun die de Europese Commissie kan geven aan ontwikkelingseducatie in Europa.
DEEEP - Developing Europeans Engagement to Eradicate Global Poverty
DEEEP is a programme initiated by the Development Awareness Raising and Education Forum of CONCORD that aims at strengthening capacities of NGDOs to raise awareness, educate and mobilise the European public for world-wide poverty eradication and social inclusion. DEEEP is co-funded by the European Union.
